SAVE THE DATE" The Annual Awards and Officers Banquet will be held MAY 19th at a new site. It will be at the Avon Old Farms Hotel. There will be a dinner and dancing so get ready for a fun affair. Wednesday night programs:  Adam and Christy's talk on their 50 state bike tour has been canceled.  We hope to reschedule it in the not too distant future.

A big MTL congratulations goes out to Bob Zawacki on his selection as a LIFETIME MEMBER!  The announcement was made at the Annual Meeting on April 25th.  Pictures!  Way to go Bob!  Our annual elections were held the same night and we had a terrific turnout for the vote.  congratulations to our new officers and board:  President – Jonathan Houck,  VP – Betsy Chase,  Secretary – Rhonda Idleman, Treasurer – John Moriarty, Asst Secretary/Treasurer – Jan Wallace, Past President – Kay Leatherman, Board of Directors – Two year term - Jim Combs and Sharon Houck.

Pig Roast enjoyed spectacular weather!  We had a huge turnout and members did a little of everything - skiing, hiking, biking, golfing, and power shopping.  The meal was incredible.  Bob Zawacki entertained us on his guitar for a sing-a-long before everyone adjourned to the party room for some dancing.  Check out the photos! Update - Kathy Sklat has submitted some photos of the Deer Leap Hike and they've been added to the album.  Norb Church has also sent in some shots plus a short video.

We enjoyed ten memorable acts at our annual Lip Sync on April 11th. This wonderful tradition was hosted by Joe Mangione who kicked things off by recognizing long time host John Ewen who was and is always ready with a joke.  Check out the photos and the videos.   Love is Strange, A Love Ballad, Don't Breathe, Hell on Heels, The Ice Cream Sundae, Let's Duet, Climb Every Mountain,  Red Solo Cup, This Ain't Rehab, and Mama Told Me Not to Come (revised version). Joe's Jokes! Report from Winter Park. Mt. Laurel was well represented at the NASTAR Nationals at Winter Park with Bob Morell, Jim and Julianne Combs, Rob Dexter, Pat Moore, and Pat and Penny's grandson Ryan. Jim and Julianne had strong performances. Ryan made the podium in Boy's 1-4 Bronze, Bob Morell finished in second place in the Men's 60-64 Gold Division, Pat took second in Men's 65-69 Platinum and first in snowboarding and Rob Dexter is the new National Champion in Men's 60-65 Platinum!  Got the urge to join us next year?  Here's a photo album of the event.  Ryan has to be the most enthusiastic medal recipient in years.  Check out a short video of him with Olympic stars Picabo Street, Heidi Voelker, Ted Ligety, Doug Lewis, and AJ Kitt.
